Hopes of a summer/Autumn 2026 opening for Pitlochry’s Tesco are looking increasingly realistic, with considerable progress now evident at the Bridge Street Site.
As PBN reported back in August, see: the long-awaited development has finally gathered pace.
And residents supportive of a new supermarket in the town will not have too long to wait before the 26 900 sq ft store, with 177 car parking spaces is opened.
Builders and designers, Clark Contracts, are now working steadily at the site next to the Recreation Ground, with diggers working away this week.
Tesco has taken a 20 year lease on the development, which was initially timetabled to open in May.
The core path which fringes the site and is popular with dog walkers and residents will be left untouched by the development although it is understood the construction team may have to close it temporarily to complete the build.
