A Blairgowrie thespian has co-founded a unique new agency for actors, run by the actors themselves.
Blairgowrie-raised Cieran Low and four fellow performers have come together to form Ignis Artists Agency.
Instead of relying on an external agency to promote their careers and land them stage roles, actors, writers and directors will collaborate together to develop key industry partnerships to promote Ignis artists.

The collective will also offer a space where members can be supported in their creative work, alongside professional and career development.
The other co-founders of Ignis are Annabel Logan, Myette Godwyn, Elissa Grace and Director, Sarah Marie Mooney.
“Starting Ignis feels incredibly personal to me,” said theatre actor Cieran, who grew up as member of the Blairgowrie Players from age 8 to 18 and has worked with organisations such as Perth Theatre and Dundee Rep.
“Growing up in a small town in Perthshire, a career in this industry often felt quite far away, and there wasn’t always an obvious route into it.
“As an actor, I know how difficult it can be trying to find your place and feeling like you’re doing so much of it on your own.
“I wanted to help create the kind of agency I would want representing me. Being able to build that alongside a group of artists I really believe in is incredibly exciting, and I’m proud of what we are creating with Ignis.”
Ignis is now opening its books to new members and Cieran is urging artists in Perthshire to apply. Deadlines for submissions are October 7th. Candidates can email submissions@ignisartists.com
