A leading Perthshire independent hotel is to harness the incredible global growth journey of a racquet sport to diversify its offering to guests.
Crieff Hydro plans to turn its Indoor horse riding arena into a Padel Barn, with three brand new indoor Padel courts created.
It follows on from a multi-million pound programme of investment in 2025 which saw the introduction of a new day-to-night bar, dining areas and speakeasy bar.

Padel tennis has become a worldwide phenomenon and its popularity shows no sign of slowing.
One of the fastest growing sports in the world, there are over 378 000 players in the UK and over 25m participants worldwide.
Recently, football operator Powerleague announced it was to invest in 11 new Padel courts across its five-a-side portfolio in Scotland.

Customers of the Indoor riding centre at Crieff Hydro were informed of the planned change in early Spring but the hotel’s popular outdoor riding facility will remain.
A Spokesperson for the Crieff Hydro Family of Hotels said the change was to add to the range of activities available for guests.
Plans currently sit with Perth and Kinross Council.
The programme of investment at the hotel last year was the biggest in the previous two decades and has been well received by guests.
