Perthshire Hotel short-listed for major award

Michelin chef a finalist in UK hotel prize

The Head Chef and Co-owner of a Michelin starred Perthshire restaurant has been short-listed for Hotel Restaurant chef of the year at the 2026 Hotel Catey Awards.

Tom Tsappis of Killiecrankie House will go head to head with three English-based chefs as the only Scottish-based finalist.

Also short-listed are Adam Degg of Fifty-Two at Rugging Park, Harrogate; Jean Delport of Restaurant Interlude in Horsham and Adam Reid of Adam Reid at the French in Manchester.

The Hotel Catey Awards, established 19 years ago, honour individuals and properties making an outstanding contribution to the UK Hotel industry.

Individuals are selected and nominated by their industry peers, with the awards ceremony set to be held in London on November 23rd.

“Being shortlisted alongside chefs from around the UK is a great way of spotlighting what we’re doing here at Killiecrankie,” said Tom.

“But none of it would be possible without the hard work and dedication of every single member of the team. Everyone pulls together to deliver, whether that’s front of house, the chefs, housekeeping, the gardeners or the management team.

“Without everyone’s input, it wouldn’t work so this shortlisting is for everyone who plays their part in making Killiecrankie what it is.”

Aside from the restaurant’s Michelin star it has been a decorated year for the Killiecrankie House team.

Co-Owner Matilda Tsappis entered the UK Sommelier top 20 this year for the first time.
