Images from the Project's consultation boardsPre-planning has been lodged for a major new £20m luxury Chalet, Leisure and Spa development on farmland to the south of Milnathort’s landmark Burleigh Castle.
The project, which will potentially include 103 holiday lodges, will see a Wellness Spa and Hub built within the 22 acre site, with café, restaurant and leisure facilities also accommodated.
Should it achieve consent in 2027, the inward investment is tipped to bring ‘new employment opportunities and economic benefits for Milnathort and Kinross-shire.’

Residents have until next Wednesday to submit final comments to the designers behind the plans, with comments being fed into the developing concept.
LarnerMcGrath Ltd have been instructed to carry out the public consultations on behalf of Curveblock Ltd, and Burleigh Castle Lodges Ltd.
Curveblock are developing an innovative model to finance sustainable, energy-positive real estate developments through the issuing of digital shares to ordinary investors.
At a first consultation event on 4th March, the team behind the project pledged to use the comments to fine-tune plans for the next consultation, which will take place on April 8th.
Local views, they said, would be ‘essential to help develop the concept.’

Consultation Boards shown at the event stated there was a ‘strong business case for a high quality, carbon neutral contemporary accommodation and leisure park within Kinross-shire’.
One potential hurdle the developers will have to negotiate before lodging a Planning Application this summer is that the site, adjacent to the A911, is not currently identified for development within the Council’s Local Development Plan 2.
However, the developers believe they can make a strong case for the development, given the social, economic and environmental considerations which have informed the project.
“A key consideration is the need to respect the landscape and heritage significance of the area whilst improving infrastructure, local facilities and biodiversity in a sustainable and carbon neutral manner.”
Residents can make comments, ahead of the 18th March deadline to lesley@larnermcgrath.co.uk
