Scone Palace International Horse Trials will showcase the work of leading equestrian charity, British Horse Society, at this year’s showcase, naming BHS as the official charity partner for the 2026 event.
The inaugural event at Scone Palace was a huge success (27 500 spectators) last year, with Olympic gold medallists Laura Collett and London 52 winning The Malcolm Group CC14*-S before securing the European Championship title just weeks later.
With the countdown beginning to this year’s show on August 27th to 30th, organisers have now named BHS as charity partner, with spectators having lots of opportunities to learn about - and support- its work.
BHS improves the safety of horses and riders, championing equine welfare, off-road access, participation and education.

By becoming official event charity partner at Scotland’s only international horse trials, it will receive proceeds from the official course-walks with top riders across the Palace’s cross-country tracks.
It will also man the popular ‘shop and drop’ facility while the BHS Scotland Stand near the Main arena will feature a mechanical horse where visitors can experience the feeling of riding.
The charity’s event lorry will showcase its work, enabling people to learn and join, and there will be CPD events for equestrian professionals.
Scone Palace International Horse Trials’ Event Director Alec Lochore said: “BHS Scotland is a very important charity to everyone involved in all the diverse areas of the equestrian world.
“We are keen to promote a love of and an understanding of horses, and to share our passion for them with people who may not have had the chance to experience our community, and partnering with BHS Scotland is a great way to do this.”

Georgina Charlton, National Manager for British Horse Society (BHS) Scotland, said: “We are delighted to be named Scone Palace International Horse Trials’ charity partner for 2026.
“Being chosen in the same year that we celebrate the 60th anniversary of BHS Scotland makes this recognition even more special.
“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to showcase and champion the work BHS Scotland does to support horses, their owners, and everyone who loves them across all of our charitable areas.”
