A burgeoning Perthshire craft brewery will open a new pub on one of Perth’s premier retail streets this summer.
Blair Atholl-based Wasted Degrees has announced to followers on its social media platforms that it intends to open a bar, offering food, merchandise and take-away cans, on 62-64 George Street, pending final paperwork.
The highly acclaimed craft brewer, gearing up to provide the beer at the forthcoming Heartland Music Festival, is in line to begin work on a bespoke £2m brewery, tap room and visitor attraction this year on Ferry Road, Pitlochry; a process which was delayed by legal obstacles.
As this process clears, the founding Low brothers will also open their new Perth pub, featuring 15 draught beer lines, principally of their own acclaimed beers, in mid to late July, building the customer offer ‘sustainably’ in stages.

The development, which is the latest phase of steady growth for the brewery, will create three new jobs and, as well as stocking their own and some guest draughts, there will non-alcohol and GF options as well as ciders, wines and cocktails.
The final opening date will be announced in due course, with followers being asked to stay updated by checking its new Insta page.
