Heartland Festival organisers have revealed that the decision to move the showcase in 2027 has been endorsed with strong early ticket sales from fans.
After listening to attendee feedback, organisers entered negotiations with the Laird family to move from the Recreation ground in Pitlochry to an extensive farmland site in Ballinluig, enabling the festival to include camping options for the first time.
That decision to move 4.8 miles down the A9 has been endorsed by fans of the award-nominated festival, with super early bird tickets already shifting fast.

Home-grown Scots bands and acts are also responding to the burgeoning festival brand, with 75% of next year’s line-up already secured for Ballinluig Year One.
“Ticket sales are going really, really well,” confirmed Simon Clark, Heartland Festival Sales and Marketing Director.
“Because we have released these tickets super early, people have been taking advantage of the reduced prices.
“In terms of the announcement about moving, people have appreciated that we have listened, especially in terms of the camping element and growing the festival.
“We have been hearing from the beginning that people wanted camping as an option and the comments on social media have been really, really positive.
“Naturally, there were a few people from Pitlochry who wanted it to remain there, which is expected, but the unlimited £15 shuttle bus over the weekend has assured them and they are now behind the change.”

The Ballinluig switch means the Festival will benefit for the first time from camping and glamping options, with festival goers able to stay on-site from Thursday evening to Monday morning.
Campervan and caravan spaces will be available as well as a larger car park.
Those seeking a little more luxury can take advantage of the partnership with Yippee Tents which will see the creation of a Glamping Village with bell tents, showers, toilets and chill-out areas.
Heartland Festival, established in 2024, now brings £2m to the Perthshire economy and Managing Director, Graham Howie, says that affordability and keeping the festival in the region was crucial when deciding to move the event.
“Pitlochry has been a huge part of the Heartland story since day one, and we’re incredibly grateful for the support we’ve received from the local community, businesses and volunteers over the last few years.”
Super Early Bird tickets for the 2027 event are available for adults (full weekend), priced £99. Under-13s go free and 13–17-year-olds can attend the whole 3 days for £19.
The 2027 event will take place from 25th to 27th June.
