Perthshire independent craft beer firm Wasted Degrees Brewing has agreed another deal as official beer partner of Heartland Festival 2026 after serving over 11 000 pints this year.
The Blair Atholl-based company, which now exports to 13 countries, successfully assumed the contract for this year’s event as the popular festival rocked Pitlochry for a second year.
Now, after serving up 1000 pints an hour during the sunkist two days, the Wasted Degrees team have agreed another collaboration for the 2026 event, which will extend to 3 days next summer.
Today the team were busying themselves with post-festival production at their Sawmill Yard hub but are delighted to be back behind the bar for next year’s event.
Heartland Festival 2025 was a first for the team after previously supplying gigs such as beer festivals.
With a constrained (but recently increased capacity) of 29 000 litres per month at its current site, the company were delighted to meet demand, and festival attendees also welcomed the news of their return warmly for 2026.
Taking to social media, commentators remarked on the lack of queues at the bar, the quality of the product and the pricing.
Jack Low, Director at Wasted Degrees, said:
“A huge thanks to everyone who chose to drink with us at Heartland 2025... We’ll return with our line-up of fresh, local bevvy at Heartland 2026 and we’ll also bring a non-alcohol option, too. See you next summer!”
Festival Promoter Graham Howie is pleased to have secured the local company for another year, saying they were efficient, reliable and a great team to work with.
With the festival adding a third night next year, with an ‘Evening With’ addition on the Friday from 5pm, demand for the company’s award-winning beers and Cider are expected to be even higher.
The company, established in 2016, have been granted planning permission for a brewery, taproom and shop on Ferry Road in Pitlochry.
